This fabric is 100% Cotton Selvage Denim, which is made in our Great State of TEXAS!. Yes one of the last American made selvage denim but in limited lot runs of 20-40 yards.
This is a reproduction of workwear denim from the late 1950s and early 1960s, inspired by the denim worn by farmers and field hand workers. The fabric is a sturdy, heavy bleed material with imperfections due to the use of long and slubby yarns. According to the maker, "old man Mr. Williams," this denim is made on a vintage Draper loom and is sanforized, but still bleeds like old vintage jeans. The fabric width is smaller than modern selvage fabric, so more fabric is needed per yard to create a pair of jeans. Additionally, each lot of this denim is slightly different, making it truly unique and special.
