12.5oz Japanese Rich Indigo Cotton/Hemp Selvage Red Line
This fabric is 58% Cotton and 42% Hemp, The indigo shade and slub texture makes this a rare denim.
Hemp is known for it's durability. You can see some of the hemp weft shown through the surface of the fabric, there are a few scattered neps, throughout the fabric's surface.
This fabric starts with a special cotton yarn. Next comes the hemp which makes up over 40% of the fabric composition but the special cotton gives the fabric a soft hand. The texture on this fabric is very soft,, due to highly slubby yarns. Visually it has a subtle ropey look to it with slight highly visible vertical grain. The color is a RICH indigo, but you will see the nice natural tan weft yarns shown through the back.
